The Little Dog Who Made a Big Difference
Two weeks ago, we said goodbye to more than just a pet, we said goodbye to our family’s best friend and the heart of The Senior Significance Project, Champ.
We rescued Champ in 2015 from Big Dog Ranch Rescue after he had been forgotten and left alone in an apartment because his owners didn’t want him anymore. He was already a mature dog at 7 years old, yet this little 8-pound pup carried a heart bigger than any of us could imagine. From the moment he joined our family, he gave us more love than we could ever explain.
For the next 10 years, Champ stood faithfully by my side as I built my company. More than that, he became the beloved mascot of The Senior Significance Project. His little paws walked into countless rooms filled with Alzheimer’s patients, bringing comfort, smiles, and unconditional love 💜 to people who often felt forgotten.
Even in his final years, as he faced his own battle with dementia, Champ never stopped giving love. His life is a powerful reminder of why we started the Senior Significance Project:
We remember them, even if they can’t remember us.
Now, as we step into a new year, we want to continue Champ’s legacy of love and significance.
✨ You’re invited to join us for our 2025 Kickoff Call:
📅 Friday, September 12th at 8:00 AM on Zoom: REGISTER HERE
This is your chance to be part of something meaningful. We’ll need gift wrappers, donation drop off sponsors, cheerful elves to deliver gifts in December, and hearts willing to spread love to someone who might otherwise feel forgotten during the holidays.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, or if you'd just like to receive updates about volunteering in case you decide to be part of the mission this year, fill out this form and we'll be sure to keep you in the loop for the 2025 Senior Significance Project.
Champ may no longer be with us, but his spirit will always live on in our mission. We hope you’ll join us in carrying that love forward.
P.S. Click here to see an adorable video of champ wrangling up all the gifts we delivered to the seniors last year. 💜
With gratitude and love,
Kelly
